Parris is a producer, DJ and label owner whose creative evolution reflects a decade inside the engine room of UK club music. With an experimental ear honed at the crucial parties, labels and record shops of the 2010s, the Hackney-born artist has cultivated a genre-fluid style that plugs sound system pressure into misty dubscapes, pulsating house and fragments of pop glitz. His diverse record crates have taken him from the sweatboxes of London to world-class clubs and festivals. After a clean sheet of acclaimed records for cult labels The Trilogy Tapes, Idle Hands and Hemlock, in 2019 Parris launched can you feel the sun, an outlet for his productions with Berlin-based counterpart Call Super.

Even though the track seems to be almost finished and you didn’t have much to criticise, it was really encouraging and motivating to hear. Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to play the track in a club myself, but that would definitely be a cool test.
